Strong communities are built on more than just houses—they are built on respect. Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) provide guidelines that protect property values and ensure a safe, pleasant environment for all. When residents follow these rules, they show consideration not only for their own homes, but also for their neighbors.

Many may not be aware that we have CCRs in Bloomington. These rules include architectural guidelines, land use, maintenance standards, and other nuisance avoidance.

Courtesy adds the personal touch that rules alone cannot create. Some key aspects, like having open lines of communication, showing respect and consideration, keeping noise down, greeting each other, and lending a hand, help to foster trust, kindness, and strengthen neighborly connections.

Together, covenants coupled with courtesy form the foundation of the neighborhood harmony we strive for in Bloomington. By honoring both, we create a community where rules protect our investments, kindness makes us feel at home, and Bloomington is where we want to be.
